OSHAWA CANADA DAY DEMO
July 1, 1999

On Tuesday July 1, 1999, The Oshawa Wado-Kai students had the opportunity to participate in the Canada Day celebrations held at the Lakeview Park. The annual celebrations held at the Lakeview Park are known to the community as a fun and exciting way to celebrate Canada Day each year. This year it was estimated that approximately 30,000 - 35,000 enjoyed the festivities. It was the 6th year that the Corporation of the City of Oshawa has invited the Oshawa Wado-Kai to contribute in this event. Students from the various programs in Oshawa had the opportunity to bring the people of Durham the fine Art of Wado and by the spectators' response, a very enjoyable one.
